The holiday region Winterberg-Neuastenberg offers numerous sports and leisure activities in the summer as well. Extensive cycling and hiking trails at the Rothaarsteig (©) are available to the active nature lover as well as summer tobogganing and climbing in the nearby adventure park Kappe, go-kart for the special experience or golf, mini-golf and tennis.
Climbing area Steinkuhle
Just about 1000m off our Holiday House there is the Climbing Area “Steinkuhle” with schistose claystone which was set in summer time 2011 in Neuastenberg. The wall offers more than 16 routes from difficulty degree 3 to 6 at a wall height between 12 and 15 meters in south-east direction.

Karting
Our Holiday park also includes the karting center Kartfun Neuastenberg for young and old. On a 550m track you can experience pure Formula One feelings on one of the most beautiful and modern tracks of Germany.
Event Center Neuastenberg
Bookable via the Kartfun are offered in the adjacent Event center with activities such as indoor soccer on artificial turf, tennis, volleyball and badminton.
Bowling
The bowler Winterberg (ca. 6km away) with its 8 lanes and changing specials at the food dishes is perfectly adjusted to families.
Climbing Wall Steinkuhle
The climbing area “Steinkuhle” in Neuastenberg offers up to 16 climbing tours of difficulty levels from 1 to 6 with a wall height between 12 and 15 metres. Parking is available at the biathlon Stadium (from here a climb downhill to the rock) or at the West German winter sports Museum.
Summer toboggan Run
In the outdoor adventure World Kappe you will find the 700m long summer toboggan run for young and old. Along with the sledge, the lift goes up the mountain. Then with individual speed down the mountain with curves, bridges and jumps.
Nature Adventure
Also in the outdoor adventure world Kappe you may climb the nature trail over the 20m high and 435m long hiking trail over the tree tops and enjoy the wonderful view in the bird’s eye-view.
Climbing Forest
In just 3km distance, the climbing forest with its 52 stations and 5 courses in 1-11m height is worth a visit. Even untrained have their fun here. Always secured with fixed straps, safety is always in the foreground. Children over the age of 8, but also adventurous will find their challenge here.
Leisure facility Hillebachsee
Spending a day at the Hillebachsee in Niedersfeld, just a short distance from Winterberg. Whether you just want to swim on the fine Pebble Beach, play mini golf or beach volleyball, or turn round on the Wakeboard & Water ski Resort. In addition, you are welcome to return to the managed lake hut.
Golf
At 10 km distance is the golf course of the Golfclub Winterberg, In der Büre, 59955 Wiinterberg, with 9 holes and additionally a public “open 9” SwinGolf course. Continue on the B480 shortly after Winterberg to the left towards Meschede-Silbach-Siedlinghausen, after ca. 2 km to the left of the signposts (opposite the bus stop) follow the golf course.
In approx. 15 km distance between Neuastenberg and Schmallenberg is the golf course of the Golf club Schmallenberg with 27 holes in Winkhausen 75, 57392 Schmallenberg.
