Hiking & Walking

The Sauerland mountains around Winterberg offer a variety of possibilities for hiking and walking. Most of the entries to the hiking routes can be reached directly from Neuastenberg. Enjoy “Up here” the magnificent view and the nature to the fullest. Discover the highest mountains of the holiday region as well as wide valleys and picturesque villages with high heathens, birds and plants in nature reserves. Those who walk or hike here understand why so many people always go up to the “Father of the Sauerland Mountains”. But also on winter days: In addition to cleared winter hiking trails, there are machine-tracked high-altitude trails.
